What information do we collect?

Upon  signing up with Oddscatcher.com, your details  are held with ourselves. All information provided by you will be  treated in strict confidence according to the terms and conditions of  the Data Protection Act 1998 and associated legislation.

Disclosure of your information

In  order to provide our products and services to you, we may need to  appoint other organisations to carry out some of the processing  activities on our behalf. These will include, for example, delivery  organisations and mailing houses. In these circumstances, we will  ensure that your information is properly protected and that it is only  used in accordance with this policy

In  common with many other website operators, we may use standard  technology called ‘cookies’ on this site. Cookies are small text files  that store basic information that a website can use to track on-line  traffic flows, recognise repeat Site visits and record information  about your on-line preferences. Our cookies are used to enable us to  develop our website to reflect our fans and customers interests and by  noting who has seen which pages and advertisements, how frequently  particular pages are visited and determining the most popular areas of  our website. We may use cookies to enrich your experience of using the  website by allowing us to tailor what you see to what we have learned  about your preferences during your visits to the site. Most browsers  automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser  to prevent cookies being stored. Please note, if you do turn cookies  off this will limit the service that we are able to provide to you and  may affect your visitor experience.

Security of information

We take the security of your personal information seriously.   When joining up with us, we use a third party payment company called BCH Ltd.  They are a Payment Card Industry (PCI) approved service provider which  means that they conform to the minimum standards determined by VISA and  MasterCard and have their systems audited regularly by approved and  independent organisations to ensure compliance. BCH Ltd are an  industry-leader in this field. All online  payments are fully secure. Firstly, when registering online for one of  our services, your credit card details get encrypted using a Comodo SSL certificate before they are sent between your web browser and our  website. Once we have received these details we immediately forward  them – still in encrypted format – to BCH Ltd. Oddscatcher.com do not get access to credit card details from these  online transactions, and your credit card information is never stored  on our web servers.

Also, the majority of our transactions will now use 3-D Secure (also referred to as Verified By Visa and Mastercard   SecureCode), which adds an extra layer of protection, and enables the user to enter some extra security details to   verify their request is genuine.

In addition, we have security procedures in place to protect our databases from loss and misuse,   and only allow access to them when it is absolutely necessary to do so, and then under strict guidelines as   to what use may be made of the personal information contained within them.

Changes to our privacy policy

We  aim to meet high standards and our policies and procedures are,  therefore, constantly under review. From time to time we may change our  security and privacy policies. Accordingly we recommend that you check  this page periodically in order to review our current policies.
